The chairman of Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd, Abd Latiff Ahmad, said 38,147 units had been approved, of which 34,902 units had been completed, 2,193 units are still in the process of construction while 1,052 units are at the agreement documentation stage.”
He said 24,360 applications had been rejected while 18,699 were being evaluated for eligibility.
Abd Latiff, who is MP for Mersing, said that 10,818 applications were received in Johor alone, of which 4,319 applications had been approved.
“So far, a total of 4,702 housing units have been completed, 535 units are in the construction stage and 82 others in the agreement documentation process. However, 2,843 applications have been rejected for not complying with the conditions of qualification and 2,656 applicants are still on the waiting list,” he added.
Earlier, Abd Latiff handed over the Certificate of Qualification for subsidy amounting to RM20,000 to 29 eligible applicants and RMR1M Work Indents to 10 selected contractors involving 29 RMR1M work indents.
