According to a New Straits Times Online report, Mara Chairman Annuar Musa submitted the documents to the MACC office in Putrajaya this afternoon.
Annuar said it was best the information pertaining to the investigation came from the source rather than a third party, adding it was his responsibility to submit any new information that could help with the investigation.
“I want to see this matter taken seriously because Mara has its own limitations to carry out investigations, thus it is best to leave it to the authorities to do a proper job,” he was quoted as saying.
Last year, Australian newspaper, The Age alleged that senior Mara officers were involved in a property scam in Melbourne, Australia.
In that report, it was revealed that a top Mara officer, a senior official and former politician allegedly spent millions in government funds to buy an apartment block in Melbourne and overpaid for it.
The building, the Dudley International House was valued at A$17.8 million (RM51.62 million) but the trio reportedly bid A$22.5m (then RM65.5m) for it and pocketed the A$4.75m (then RM13.8m) difference.
The Dudley International House is a student hostel for Malaysians students attending Monash University in Melbourne.
In February, PKR Vice-President Rafizi Ramli lamented the lack of action on the matter, eight months after it was first brought to light.
