She said this in a written reply to Ko Chung Sen (DAP – Kampar), who had asked Najib to state what other benefits he received aside from his salary as the prime minister and member of parliament.
Ko asked if Najib had received any income from private companies and whether he enjoyed benefits in the form of corporate credit cards and, if he had, whether all these had been declared to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
“The prime minister does not get any extra income from private companies and does not have any corporate credit card,” Azalina said briefly.
In January, Sarawak Report alleged that SRC International had provided Najib and/or his wife, Rosmah Mansor, with corporate credit cards.
According to the exposé, the two cards involved were a Visa card issued by CIMB on which RM449,000 was spent and a MasterCard issued by Maybank on which RM2.8 million was spent in the course of the month of August, 2014.
According to the report, a sum of about RM3.3 million was spent on items, which included hotels, meals, jewellery purchases and other personal luxury expenditures, in the south of Europe, including Italy and Monaco, in August 2014.
