Khairuddin said the Pagoh MP should ignore his detractors’ criticisms of him, describing Muhyiddin’s critics as “parasites” destroying Umno.
“Ignore bootlickers like (Tourism and Culture Minister) Nazri Aziz. These idiots will make the public give up on Umno.
“It’s okay if we are unpopular among the bootlickers as long as we are honest with Allah and the people.
“We have to wash Umno’s image inside out if we want to ensure the survival of this party. The idiots need to be kicked out of Umno,” he said in his Facebook status today.
Last Saturday, during an event in Port Dickson, Muhyiddin continued his attack on Prime Minister Najib Razak and his leadership on the controversial RM2.6 billion political donation as well as on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
Nazri later warned Muhyiddin to watch what he was saying or he would move a proposal at the next Umno Supreme Council meeting to get him suspended as deputy president.
“Don’t be afraid when fighting for a cause. Without sacrifice, a fight will be incomplete,” Khairuddin said.
“Umno is not the property of useless leaders. Umno is owned by all Malays who love this country.”
Muhyiddin was sacked from the Cabinet on July 28 last year after he made controversial remarks on 1MDB. Najib is chairman of its board of advisers.
