PAS takes Green Silk route for non-Muslim support

SHAH ALAM:
Selangor PAS is trying to garner more support from non-Muslims through a programme called “Green Silk”.

PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang is expected the launch the programme in Klang on Tuesday.

The programme will provide information and understanding on the PAS struggle said Selangor PAS national unity chairman Dr Halimah Ali.

She said it was targeted at the Chinese and Indian communities as these voters in the two communities were important for PAS to strengthen its influence in Selangor.

“This programme is in line with the slogan of PAS as a party for all,” she told reporters on Friday.

Halimah, who is Selat Klang assemblywoman , said efforts to garner the support of non-Muslims were part of the party’s early preparations for the next general election.
