PETALING JAYA: The Education Ministry will investigate claims by former Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin that he was barred from speaking at a sporting event on Sunday.
Taking to Facebook, Education Minister Mahdzir Khalid said his ministry would review the Majlis Bola Sepak Liga Belia, which was organised by the community and an NGO. It was claimed the school received orders to block Muhyiddin from speaking.
The Pagoh lawmaker is also the former Education Minister.
“The investigation will involve the school and also the organiser,” Mahdzir said.
Muhyiddin, on Facebook, claimed that he was not allowed to speak at the community football programme at SMK USJ 4, Subang Jaya.
He alleged that the school had received orders from certain parties to direct the organiser to not let him speak.
