The Thai-born actress became the center of controversy, with a photograph of her, tudung-free and described as being dressed provocatively, made its rounds on social networking sites after being published in an entertainment magazine last Sunday.

One photographed in a revealing dress, exposing her pierced belly button and hugging a male actress, Iqram Dinzly.

Uqasha started covering up in 2014 and soon after, ventured into the business of selling head scarfs.

The actress, noted for her good looks, has been previously embroiled in controversy when followers of the entertainment industry picked on her for visiting a nightclub despite her change of religion. Uqasha denied the allegation.

She has yet to comment on the current accusations. However, fans have had much to say with many accusing Uqasha and her companion, Iqram, of being hypocrites, and of using religion to gain popularity.

Iqram has also appeared dressed in religious garb while speaking on religious issues. However, the photograph of him hugging Uqasha, who is neither related nor married to him, has caused tongues to wag even though they were doing so in private.

“Mocking the religion. One moment opened (her hair), one moment covered.. Maybe (they) think Allah is only watching them in Malaysia,” wrote a fan in a comment at one popular social gossip website.

“I’m not really surprised with Uqasha..but Iqram..isn’t he religious and Islamic. He should take care of his boundaries and choose a proper woman. Disappointed,” commented another .
