KUALA LUMPUR: Umno’s Key Performance Index (KPI) bureau meeting which was scheduled to be held today with party president and Prime Minister Najib Razak, has been postponed.

It is believed the postponement was announced following a scheduled meeting between Najib and Kedah Umno leaders, said to take place at 4pm today.

The bureau’s secretary Irmohizam Ibrahim, when contacted by FMT, confirmed the postponement but refused to disclose the reason behind it.

“The meeting has been postponed to a later date,” he said briefly.

According to a report by Malay daily Berita Harian, 14 Kedah Umno division chiefs will meet Najib later this afternoon, to discuss the political conflict faced by the state at present.

This comes following the group’s call for Najib to intervene and remove Mukhriz Mahathir as the Kedah Menteri Besar.
