KUALA LUMPUR: The Attorney-General’s Chambers has received documents, including transcripts regarding 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), that were handed by former PetroSaudi International Ltd (PetroSaudi) executive Xavier Andre Justo to Clare Rewcastle-Brown of the Sarawak Report.

The Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar said that the documents were handed over by attorneys in Thailand to Malaysian authorities yesterday.

“All the documents that we required from Thailand and various other documents, including transcripts of conversations that had been given by Justo to Clare Brown, have been sent to the Malaysian Attorney-General’s chambers by their Thai colleagues yesterday.

“We’re waiting for the documents to be checked by the chambers, and I believe they will then be handed over to us for further investigations,” he said during a press conference after an event at the Bukit Aman senior officers’ mess on Thursday.

In October, a team of police officers from Bukit Aman flew to Thailand to speak to Justo and record his statement as part of their investigations into 1MDB.
