Voter barred from entering polling station for wearing shorts

PH's Berapit candidate Heng Lee Lee clarified the matter with the EC officer, who acknowledged his mistake.

PETALING JAYA:
A middle-aged voter was barred from entering his polling station at SMK Berapit in Penang this morning for wearing shorts that were above the knee when he went to cast his ballot.

According to Sin Chew Daily, the voter was ordered to change into long pants before returning to vote.

However, PH’s Berapit candidate Heng Lee Lee said the EC officer acknowledged his mistake when she clarified the matter with him. She pointed out that the EC did not set a dress code for polling stations.
