PETALING JAYA: DAP has suspended a member who is alleged to have given a provocative speech at a party function, after a video went viral.
In the video, which has gained more than 22,000 views, a man wearing a DAP vest can be seen delivering a speech in Cantonese, berating a “Parti Serban” that he said was infamous for playing up religious and racial issues.
In response, DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook said the party’s leadership condemned the speech, adding that the individual is an ordinary member and does not in any way represent the party.
