DAP suspends member over ‘provocative speech’

Party secretary-general Loke Siew Fook says the event was held in June and not during the campaign for the state elections.

PETALING JAYA:
DAP has suspended a member who is alleged to have given a provocative speech at a party function, after a video went viral.

In response, DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook said the party’s leadership condemned the speech, adding that the individual is an ordinary member and does not in any way represent the party.
