Muda candidate to give up half of salary if elected

Priyankaa Loh says the money will be channeled to tuition classes and other welfare programmes.

GEORGE TOWN:
Muda’s candidate Priyankaa Loh has pledged to give up half of her salary to fund tuition classes and other welfare programmes if she is elected as Pantai Jerejak assemblyman.

She also said she will publish independently audited accounts of her expenses which will be made public yearly.

“I frown upon politicians who make promises before and during elections, only to find ways and loopholes around these promises once elected,” she said at a press conference.

“I promise the people of Pantai Jerejak that I will stay true to my promises during and until the end of my service.”
