PETALING JAYA: PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang claimed that some MPs in the unity government were merely waiting for Perikatan Nasional to win the Aug 12 polls before they would throw their support behind the coalition.
He said, with the support of such MPs, including those from Sabah and Sarawak, PN would be able to change the government led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
“Initially, we had the support of about 10 Umno MPs, maybe even 15, but they have been blackmailed by someone facing a court case so they are fearful,” Hadi said, according to Berita Harian.
