Gerakan No 2 vows to withdraw candidacy if CM scraps PSI

Oh Tong Keong responds to Chow Kon Yeow suggesting Gerakan withdraw from the state elections to protest PAS's 'extremism'.

GEORGE TOWN:
Penang Gerakan chief Oh Tong Keong says he will withdraw his candidacy in the Aug 12 state elections if chief minister Chow Kon Yeow cancels the Penang South Island (PSI) project.

This comes after Chow suggested Gerakan pull out from the Penang polls as a protest against PAS’s “extremism”.

“In the interest of Penangites, if Chow is willing to cancel the reclamation project, I will pull out from the state elections immediately,” Oh, the Pantai Jerejak candidate, said in a statement.
