GEORGE TOWN: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has panned Perikatan Nasional’s pledge to create 100,000 jobs in Kedah in 30 years’ time, saying people need jobs now.
Anwar took a jibe at PN for wanting to be “farsighted” at a time when major companies like Geely Holding Group, Tesla, Starlink and Saudi Aramco are expanding their businesses to Malaysia and need tens of thousands of skilled workers immediately.
“(These jobs need to be created) by this year and next year. This is what sets us apart from them (PN),” he said.
