PETALING JAYA: The higher education ministry has denied a former vice-chancellor of Universiti Utara Malaysia’s (UUM) claim that his tenure was cut short by the ministry for no reason.
The ministry said Haim Hilman Abdullah, who is also PN’s candidate for the Jitra seat in Kedah, was removed from his position following a report on his performance by the university’s board of directors, reported Bernama.
Haim was appointed vice-chancellor of UUM in January 2022. His tenure ended on Jan 18 this year.
