The most common method used by shops and restaurants to make their space look bigger is the clever placement of mirrors.

Situate them directly across from windows or doorways to make your space appear twice as large. But, if you’re a feng shui practitioner, make sure this doesn’t go against the principles.

4. Increase storage

Random clutter is usually what makes your space feel cramped. Invest in furniture that can increase storage, such as drawers, shelves and even chairs with compartments.
