If you are either, book your seat now at the upcoming APPIES 2022 that will showcase the best marketing ideas Malaysians have to offer.
The highly-acclaimed APPIES 2022 will be back for its seventh run on July 13 and 14 in the Grand Ballroom of Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya.
Speaking to FMT, APPIES Malaysia president, Harmandar Singh, said that this year’s event will feature over 120 live presentations from 81 marketing case studies.

“It is like going to a real-world marketing school where we have three large ‘classroom’ halls with 30 heads of marketing, the Who’s Who in the marketing fraternity, presiding as judges to select the best campaigns. It is like watching 125 Ted Talks over two days!”
According to Harmandar, marketers, brand managers, agencies and new media innovators will benefit the most from attending the festival, and even those outside the marketing communications industry.
He likened the APPIES to being the “launchpad” for entrepreneurs to get their ideas off the ground, with many innovative concepts and success stories to be revealed at the festival.

According to him, the festival is a rare opportunity for people to freely learn from local marketing successes and to enrich their own knowledge.
“In addition to levelling up one’s marketing IQ, attending the festival will provide bragging rights at future industry gatherings,” he added.
When asked about the highlight of APPIES 2022, Harmandar said that all 125 presentations will be worth watching, as attendees stand to glean new knowledge and ideas from each.
“This will inspire them to propel their own marketing efforts to new heights!” he said.
The festival’s opening keynote speech will be delivered by Santharuban T Sundaram, CEO of Etika Holdings.

“Our conference keynote speaker, Santharuban, is a shining example of a great marketer now leading an amazing company to new heights,” said Harmandar.
And according to him, this year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than its previous iterations, thanks to the number of submissions, the highest ever received.
“Let’s not fool ourselves. Marketing is the root of all business successes. And we do not give it the credit it deserves. From simple food manufacturers to multimillion-dollar tech companies, marketing is vital to their survival and success.
He added, “We have many data points and experts in the marketplace but I wish to see more intrusive ideas make their mark because of the power of data, not despite it. Perhaps, I will discover that at APPIES Malaysia this year.”
