2. Dancepot

Dancepot kicked off in 2015 with ballet classes but has since added various forms of dance, Zumba workouts, and aerial sessions, as well as yoga, aerial yoga and yoga wheel.
The name “dancepot” stems from the brand’s belief that every aspiring dancer is a seed that must be cared for and nurtured to reach its full potential.
Classes start from as low as RM22.50 per session.

3. Yoga 2 Self

Instructor Barbara Vadiveloo was formally trained in Sivananda and Manasa yoga, and started off by teaching her own classes in Petaling Jaya before joining Yoga 2 Self.
Specialising in Hatha yoga, Surya Namaskar (sun salutation) and Yoga Nidra, the centre offers classes for beginners and advanced practitioners from RM25 per session.

4. Prana Yoga

Prana Yoga is one of the few studios in Kuala Lumpur that offers affordable pre- and postnatal yoga teacher-training programmes.
Classes are hosted by eight teachers at Pusat Kreatif Kanak-kanak Tuanku Bainun in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, and cost as low as RM25 per session.
It is a haven for beginners, with each session focusing on wellness as opposed to achieving perfection when it comes to yoga poses.

5. Align Yoga

Classes at Align Yoga are led by Mikyung Shin, who hails from Korea. A lifelong learner and practitioner, Shin believes the key to teaching yoga is understanding every student’s personal ability.
Six classes – Align 101, Align+, Flow, Flow+, the Prana Vashya introductory series, and Prana Vashya primary series – are available from RM30 per session.

6. Manasa Yoga

At Manasa Yoga, students benefit from different classes every day, which are scheduled to shake up their routine and allow them to practise the art without confining themselves to a certain level.
Most classes are taught by Manoj Kaimal, who has taught yoga since he was 27 and is now in his 50s. He focuses on hip and shoulder movements as most of his students are above age 40.
