If your belly is rumbling for a bowl of real delicious yong tau foo, there’s a restaurant in Klang that will satisfy your every craving.
Restoran SM is located along Jalan Goh Hock Huat and is a rather old-school yong tau foo outlet, famous among the locals.
In fact, the restaurant used to be located along Jalan Kapar before it moved to this new location, which is actually the road parallel to the old one, perhaps just a stone’s throw away if you have a really strong arm.

The ordering process here is similar to many other yong tau foo shops. There’s an ordering form that doubles as the menu and you simply tick the items you wish to eat and pass it to the friendly server.
There are two types of yong tau foo here – deep fried and soup based. Additionally, you can also order noodles and chee cheong fun.
The service is fast and efficient, and everything is piping hot when it arrives at your table.

Both fried and soup versions tasted top notch with their super soft and tender filing that carried a flavour not overwhelmingly imposing.
The seaweed yong tau foo in particular is a specialty here that you should try.
And for those who love Penang-style chee cheong fun, order a plate – you won’t be disappointed.
