In “Essence”, the 27-year-old Johorean seeks “a means of escape from the chaos of the city by exploring the various forms and colours of nature”, according to a statement from the gallery.
To that end, he examines natural elements such as cloud movements, the transition of dusk to dawn, and the cyclic patterns of seasons in his paintings.
On display from tomorrow until Nov 21, each of the collection’s 21 vibrant oil paintings on canvas is also available for purchase.

Nadzrin, who graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts and Technology from Universiti Teknologi Mara and is pursuing a career as a full-time artist in the Klang Valley, said the process is more important than the end result.
For “Essence”, this involved scribbles, colours, accidental marks, and ambiguous forms – further shaped by his imagination, memories, feelings, and spontaneous thoughts.
“I didn’t have any sketches developed beforehand as I wished to evoke accidental and incidental details in my painting,” he explained.
“I see it as having a conversation with a blank canvas.”
