
In search of something engaging to listen to? Listening platforms such as Spotify are betting big on fictional series these days.
So, after a hard day’s work or study, chill out or get your adrenaline flowing with some solid audio entertainment by tuning in to the latest and hottest podcast series, many of which are voiced by celebrities. Here are five selections.
1. ‘Love and Noraebang’
He’s the heir of a very rich Korean family; she’s an American-Mexican entrepreneur. But despite their different backgrounds, it was love at first sight for Jaesun and Ana, ever since they crossed paths during a karaoke session in Los Angeles.
The romance takes a dramatic turn, however, when Jaesun is forced to return to South Korea for two years of military service. Will love survive?

2. ‘Narcissa’

Despite the danger, Sid embarks on a romantic affair with a mysterious woman, Andie, and risks everything for love.

3. ‘Batman Unburied’
The universe of DC Comics’ Batman is also embracing the concept of the multiverse. In this alternate reality, Bruce Wayne hasn’t become Batman per se and his parents, Martha and Thomas Wayne, are still alive.
But Gotham is being shaken up by a series of murders by a killer named The Harvester, whose victims end up in the hands of Wayne, who has become a forensic pathologist.
The case is led by Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon. Meanwhile, Wayne consults a psychiatrist, Dr Hunter, after being attacked at his workplace.

4. ‘Fishpriest’
This show takes listeners back to the 1990s in the Bronx, New York. Tommy “Fishpriest” Barth is a former cop who has turned bounty hunter after going undercover to bust a criminal organisation, the Jamaican Shower Posse.
But when the gang returns and once again threatens Fishpriest, he realises he has nothing left to lose. And so, a new hunt begins!

5. ‘The Prophecy’
The story follows special agent Scott Thomas, who is trying to figure out why Jonah, a driver, Daniel, a zoo veterinarian, and Dr Viriginia Edwards are connected to natural disasters – events foretold by the Bible.
