This week on the streamer: deadly curses, dead besties, sea beasts, murderers and zombie apocalypses await viewers. It’s almost as if it’s Halloween.

Tomorrow, July 8

  • ‘Boo, B**ch’ (series)

In this supernatural comedy, two seniors in high school make a last-ditch attempt to be seen. But when one of them becomes a ghost, she’ll need to really live her best life – while she can.

  • ‘Imitation’, season 1 (series)

Based on the webtoon of the same name, this drama follows the lives of idols in the Korean entertainment industry, and centres on the secret romance between a member of a rookie girl group and a member of the country’s top boy group.

  • ‘Incantation’ (film)

Six years ago, Lee Jo-nan was cursed after breaking a religious taboo. Now, she must protect her daughter from the consequences of her actions.

Helmed by Kevin Ko, this story of a mother trying to save her child from a deadly curse has thus far earned over US$5.7 million (RM25 million), making it this year’s highest-grossing movie at the Taiwan box office.

  • ‘The Sea Beast’ (film)

In this animated movie, the life of a legendary sea monster hunter is turned upside down when a young girl stows away on his ship. Together they go on an epic adventure into uncharted waters – and make history.

Featuring the voices of Karl Urban (“The Boys”), Jared Harris (“Chernobyl”) and more.

  • ‘She Would Never Know’ (series)

At a cosmetics company, a dashing rookie employee boldly pursues a senior co-worker to turn an unrequited crush into a heart-racing office pursuit. A – romantic, of course – K-drama.

  • ‘My Daughter’s Killer’ (documentary)

In 1982, a man’s daughter dies while living with her German stepfather, Dieter Krombach, a doctor and serial rapist. Thanks to international procedural laws, Krombach’s conviction is overturned, prompting the girl’s father to take extreme measures in pursuit of justice.
