
CEO Shinya Ikeda noted that even during the lockdowns and when the Covid-19 situation worsened with new variants emerging, the demand for Mitsubishi vehicles has remained on an uptrend until now.
“Malaysia is a unique country in the Asean region with people who like to enjoy outdoor activities and the Malaysian government has done a good job too in lifting consumer confidence,” he said during the launch of the Mitsubishi Triton-Phantom Plus Edition here today.
“In the first half of 2022, Mitsubishi Motors sold 4,820 units of Triton, a 44% increase compared with the same period in 2021,” he said.
The Triton-Phantom Plus Edition, limited to 1,000 units and available only in jet black mica, is “designed to elevate customers’ urban lifestyle and passion for the outdoors”, the automaker said in a statement.
The vehicle is priced at RM139,700 per unit in Peninsular Malaysia on-the-road and without insurance for private registration and comes with a warranty of five years or 200,000km, whichever comes first.
For Sabah, it is priced at RM141,700, Sarawak (RM141,750), Langkawi (RM131,902) and Labuan (RM134,353).
