Held as part of Resort World Genting’s wider “Jom Raya Kaw Kaw 2026” celebrations, the initiative – charmingly titled “Jom Lepak Open Hause” – welcomed 32 children from Badan Amal Nur Zaharah for a festive experience designed to capture the warmth and generosity of the season.
The day began on a high note, quite literally, with a scenic cable car ride up to the resort. From there, the children headed straight into the action at Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, where rides and attractions set the tone for an energetic start.
But it was the setting at Kimhua Atrium that truly defined the outing. Decked out in a Care Bears-themed Raya celebration – the first of its kind in Malaysia – the space offered a playful backdrop that blended favourite childhood characters with festive tradition.

Cheer Bear and Grumpy Bear made appearances throughout the day, drawing smiles and eager hugs in equal measure.
After a morning of excitement, the group gathered for a Rumah Terbuka lunch at Jom Makan Street Food, where familiar flavours and a welcoming atmosphere brought everyone together in true Raya fashion.
The programme continued with interactive activities, including a coaster-painting workshop that encouraged creativity and self-expression. Between the crafts, character meet-and-greets and shared moments, the day unfolded with an easy rhythm of fun and connection.
While the outing itself was the highlight, it also reflected a broader intention. The initiative underscores Resorts World Genting’s ongoing efforts to give back to the community, especially during festive periods, when the spirit of togetherness feels most meaningful.

The Care Bears collaboration added a gentle emotional layer to the experience – a reminder of kindness, positivity and simple joy: values that sit comfortably alongside the essence of Hari Raya.
Beyond the CSR programme, the Jom Raya Kaw Kaw 2026 celebration continues to draw visitors to Kimhua Atrium with its mix of themed installations, interactive activities and family-friendly entertainment.
Guests can explore photo spots inspired by the Care Bears universe, browse exclusive merchandise, and catch weekend appearances by Cheer Bear and Grumpy Bear.
A digital photo booth offers personalised keepsakes for shoppers, while redemption programmes feature limited-edition Raya packets, vouchers and collectibles.
Daily performances keep the atmosphere lively, from upbeat dance shows to traditional showcases such as wayang kulit, cak lempung and dikir barat, blending contemporary flair with cultural heritage.

Running until April 12, the celebration brings together festive shopping, entertainment and community engagement in one space – with moments, big and small, that capture the spirit of Raya.
