In a statement, KPRJ said the event served both as a gesture of appreciation to the media fraternity and as a symbolic show of alignment between the group and key stakeholders who have supported and contributed to Johor’s growth over the past three decades.
Among those present were Johor state secretary Asman Shah Abd Rahman, state youth, sports, entrepreneur development and cooperatives committee chairman Hairi Mad Shah, and KPRJ CEO Lukman Abu Bakar.
Sports Writers Association of Malaysia (SAM) president Norismadi Abdul Manap welcomed the initiative and highlighted its significance.
“This invitational reflects the strong and positive relationship between the media and KPRJ, a partnership built on mutual respect and open engagement.
“As KPRJ celebrates its 30th anniversary, the gathering underscores the value of maintaining close, constructive collaboration as the organisation steps into its next chapter,” he was quoted as saying.
The golf invitational was held at the Johor Golf and Country Club in Johor Bahru yesterday.
KPRJ is also preparing to unveil a refreshed corporate identity that reflects its ambitions for the decades ahead.
The anniversary celebrates its legacy and the new identity expresses its future direction, capturing the promise behind its theme, “3 Dekad Membina Legasi, Mencorakkan Masa Hadapan”, which will be launched on Nov 17.
