The Festival of Lights celebrates hope and renewal, and for Sunway, that spirit continues in its mission to build communities that thrive while caring for the planet.
Sunway is walking its “Luminous Future”, showing how the journey towards sustainability today can build a brighter tomorrow for all Malaysians. The group continues to light the way towards a cleaner, more sustainable Malaysia through renewable energy.

Across its properties, Sunway’s solar initiatives have generated 12,933 MWh of clean energy, saving RM4.7 million in electricity costs with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). That is enough to power more than 1,800 homes a year while preventing 4.4 million kg of coal from being burned.
These achievements go beyond figures: they reflect Sunway’s long-term commitment to progress that respects the environment, one solar panel at a time.
This commitment also extends to creating spaces that bring people and nature closer together. What began as a tin-mining wasteland has transformed into Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s first integrated green township.
From tree-planting initiatives to eco-friendly infrastructure and walkable urban designs, Sunway continues to set new benchmarks for sustainable living that benefit both the environment and the communities it serves.

Sunway’s “Luminous Future” is also about people.
Through education, healthcare and community outreach, Sunway ensures that everyone has a place in its vision for a better tomorrow.
From scholarships and accessible healthcare to youth development programmes, these initiatives uphold the belief that true progress shines brightest when everyone moves forward together.
As homes light up this Deepavali, Sunway reminds Malaysians that even the smallest act of care can spark a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.
