The college offers three leading pre-university programmes: Cambridge A Level (CAL), the Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) pathway and its suite of foundation programmes, which allow students to specialise early while developing their critical thinking and creativity.
From A Level to Biomedical Engineering

For Tan Yong Zen, who is now pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering (Tissue Engineering Specialisation) at the National University of Singapore, Cambridge A Level at Taylor’s College was a period of both academic and personal growth.
“I’ve always dreamt of studying abroad, but I also wanted to make a lasting impact. Taylor’s College gave me the flexibility to explore my interests while maintaining strong academics. I even started a board game club and launched a STEM Bowl competition,” he shared.

“Inspiring lecturers like Ms Nesa Ramani and Dr Gilbert Foo also showed me how science connects in real life, which sparked my passion for Biomedical Engineering and my dream to contribute to modern medicine.”
Thriving under the AUSMAT pathway

AUSMAT graduate Edwin Chan, now pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at The University of Sydney, recalled how continuous assessments helped him flourish.

“Small class sizes meant lecturers could give detailed feedback, and the flexible structure helped me produce quality work consistently. Beyond academics, living on campus taught me independence, which eased my transition abroad,” he said.
Building confidence through design

For Chee Xin Yen, who pursued a Foundation in Design, the programme became a stepping stone to The Glasgow School of Art.
“The programme built my confidence and strengthened my foundation skills, giving me the courage to pursue my next chapter. My lecturers also made the biggest difference, offering constant support and practical insights I’ll carry with me for life.

Her journey reflects how Taylor’s College empowers students not just academically, but personally, preparing them for the realities of studying and living abroad.
Beyond academics, Taylor’s College supports students at every stage through its University Placement Services (UPS), a one-stop centre for personalised guidance on local and international applications.
“The advisors were patient and thorough, walking me through the different country processes and connecting me with university representatives, which eased my fears, and gave me the confidence with my applications,” shared Xin Yen.
For over five decades, Taylor’s College has upheld a simple yet powerful promise: to prepare students for success at world-class universities and beyond.
With its proven academic pathways, dedicated placement services and holistic campus experience, Taylor’s College continues to nurture achievers who make their mark on the global stage.
