PETALING JAYA:
Samsonite Malaysia continues to reinforce its commitment to sustainability and circular practices with the recent conclusion of its annual luggage trade-in campaign.

Thanks to its partnership with local sustainability champions Fuze Ecoteer, the campaign has given second life to the collected pre-loved luggage. Pieces that are no longer usable will be responsibly recycled or disposed of, while selected parts have been upcycled into exclusive artisan coasters.

A donation of RM62,810 will also be made to WWF Malaysia thanks to the company’s commitment to donating RM10 for every trade-in transaction. Funds will be channelled to help WWF Malaysia’s efforts to protect the country’s natural environment.

“This initiative spotlights Samsonite’s journey of crafting exceptional products, and our commitment to be more sustainable through recycling, ethical disposal, or giving collected pre-loved luggage a second life,” Samsonite Malaysia general manager Ambert Khoo said.

“Through our partnership with Fuze Ecoteer and support for WWF Malaysia, we are proud to turn old luggage into new possibilities while continuing to champion this meaningful initiative.”

The campaign, which ran from May 16-July 13, allowed customers upgrade their luggage to Samsonite Malaysia’s Nuon™ and Octolite Neo collections by trading-in pre-loved luggage of any brand, condition or size.

Additionally, participants can now redeem their artisan coasters, made from 100% recycled plastic, by presenting their receipt at selected Samsonite stores.

If you didn’t trade in, you can still join the movement by making any purchase at selected Samsonite stores to receive an exclusive coaster.

Remember – by recycling your old luggage and choosing responsible travel gear, you’re taking a step towards a more sustainable future.
