The contributions, provided by public relations agency ShekhinahPR with football marketing consultancy ProEvents, included official match-used equipment from the high-profile game at Bukit Jalil National Stadium last month.
SK Lemoi is home to The Botaks, a spirited team comprising a remote community of Orang Asli students whose love for the game defies geographical challenges and resource limitations.
The symbolic handover took place during a dinner event recently that left an indelible impression on these young players.
“Thank you for hosting the students of SK Lemoi and treating them to dinner,” a teacher from the school later posted on Instagram. “They asked, ‘Cikgu, is this a palace?’ We are truly grateful for this grand dining experience.”
ShekhinahPR CEO Christopher Raj expressed belief in the power of sport to transform lives. “Through this contribution, we hope to spark passion, build confidence, and encourage these young children to pursue their football dreams with pride and purpose.
“Seeing their faces light up while receiving boots and gear used by United truly moved us. This isn’t just a donation – it’s a statement that they belong, that they matter, and that they are part of the global football family.”
The Botaks will next be competing in the MSSD Football Championship in Tanah Rata, which kicks off tomorrow.
