New partnership set to transform Malaysia’s affiliate marketing landscape

REV Media Group has teamed up with Remix, part of the Involve Asia group of companies, to reshape the affiliate marketing landscape in Malaysia.

The collaboration brings together REV Media Group’s digital reach and Remix’s expertise in affiliate programme management to help brands boost engagement, revenue and growth.

Affiliate marketing is a US$20 billion (RM88.35 billion) industry worldwide but remains underutilised in Malaysia. The partnership aims to bridge this gap by offering brands a complete affiliate marketing solution.

Expanding revenue opportunities

As part of the collaboration, REV Media Group has launched REV Affiliate+, a programme designed to help brands expand their reach through media buys and a broad affiliate network.

With REV Affiliate+, businesses can leverage performance-based marketing to increase visibility and track measurable growth. Remix will manage affiliate programmes, from activation to commission strategies and retention, while REV Media Group will provide key promotional channels, including:

  • Display and video advertising
  • Targeted content and social media exposure
  • Audience segmentation for affiliate marketing campaigns

Brands will also gain access to publishers under REV Media Group, such as Free Malaysia Today, SAYS, OhBulan!, Viralcham, Berita Harian and Harian Metro.

Raising industry standards

REV Media Group chief operating officer Nicholas Sagau said the partnership will allow brands to tap into affiliate marketing as a performance-driven strategy.

“By combining our content platforms and audience targeting capabilities with Remix’s expertise in affiliate networks, we’re equipping brands with the tools to drive impactful, performance-based campaigns,” he said.

According to REV Media Group chief digital officer Chris Wee, the initiative will help brands achieve long-term growth in a competitive digital market.

As for Remix executive director René Menezes, he said the collaboration will mark a shift in how brands leverage affiliate marketing for sustained business expansion.

“With REV Media Group’s unparalleled reach and our expertise in affiliate programme management, we are creating a solution that ensures consistent growth and maximised returns for our clients,” he said.
