Whether you are seeking educational opportunities for children, therapeutic moments with animals, or simply a day filled with laughter and warmth, Selangor’s petting zoos and farms deliver unforgettable memories.
From cuddly rabbits and playful goats to majestic horses and friendly alpacas, these attractions offer a glimpse into the beauty of nature and the joy of animal interactivity. Here are seven such locations you should definitely check out in the state.
1. G2G Animal Garden, Serdang
Looking to spend a day in a tranquil place away from the city? Head on over to G2G Animal Garden, where you’ll meet some truly irresistible creatures.
Science has proven that spending time in the company of animals can be soothing, which is why the Therapy House allows visitors to destress by petting, playing, and spending time with the likes of cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, and hedgehogs.
Feline fans will love spending time at the Cat House among Siamese, British shorthairs, and domestic longhairs; or marvel at the sights, sounds (and smells) at the Deer Sanctuary, Reptile House and Rabbit Garden.
Fennec foxes, prairie dogs, raccoons, squirrels, and the ancient-looking Sulcata tortoise – the third-largest such species in the world – await!
There are also fun activities for children and adults, such as pony rides and fishing – all at the affordable price of RM25-RM35 for Malaysians, and RM50-RM60 for foreigners.

Check out the turtle and tortoise farm, and try not to shudder as you visit the snake and reptile cavern! The aviary alone contains more than 45 bird species, making this a delightful spot for ornithophiles.
You can also experience feeding some of the gentler animals, and friendly staff are on hand to let you hold, pet and take photos with the furry, feathered or scaly companion of your liking.

Apart from the animals, kids will enjoy the giant inflatable slide and going on a “train ride” through the farm. And when tummies get too empty, head on over to the café for delicious local and western cuisine.
With a highly affordable entry price of RM15 for adults and RM7 for children, this is an ideal place for an enjoyable and cost-effective getaway with your loved ones.
