Appies Awards invites submissions for 2023-2024 season

Creative, media, digital and marketing firms are called to register for a chance to be recognised by this celebrated annual industry event.

Are you part of a creative, media, digital or marketing agency or brand? Appies Malaysia returns with its coveted platform for marketers, agencies and partners to showcase their best campaigns before industry leaders and stand a chance to win an Appies award!

The Appies, a two-day event held next month, also offers participants an opportunity to learn from, network and celebrate with some of the brightest minds in publicity and promotions.

Known as the “TED of marketing”, campaigns are presented in an interactive format comprising a four-minute creative reel summarising the overall strategy, followed by a five-minute oral presentation highlighting significant aspects and elements of the campaign.

The presenter then fields questions from a panel of judges – 22 assessors comprising a “who’s-who in marketing”, led by Appies Malaysia 2024 advisers Adam Wee Abdullah and Santharuban T Sundaram.

The best marketing success stories will be awarded Appies gold, silver, or bronze.

“What sets the Appies apart is that each featured campaign is presented live by brand marketers and campaign creators before a panel of judges and a full audience. Only outstanding campaigns that have a unique marketing success story will go on to win trophies,” said Appies president Harmandar Singh.

Entrant campaigns must run between June 2023 and May 2024 in the following categories: food and beverage, fast dining, non-food fast-moving consumer goods, festive, business to business, financial services, travel and hospitality, education and training, automotive and transport, healthcare, government and NGOs, sustainability, digital, social, tech, customer experience, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, out of home and digital out of home, innovation, and admail impact.

Leading brands such as P&G, Mondelez International, Coca-Cola, Google, IKEA, IBM, Unilever, Amazon, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, and Asia Pacific Breweries have all won at the Appies over the years.

Closing date for submissions is June 30.

Judging for Appies 2024 will be held on July 11 & 12 at Eastin Hotel in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, with the awards ceremony on Aug 16. For entry forms and further information, click here.
