To spread awareness of Mercedes-Benz’s superiority in electric vehicle technology, NZ Wheels recently hosted its EQ Connection Drive event where selected participants were given a first-hand opportunity to test drive an EQ vehicle from its Bangsar showroom to Genting Highlands.
Experiencing sustainable luxury on the road
The scenic, cool and winding roads of Genting proved an ideal setting to demonstrate the full capabilities of Mercedes-Benz’s EQ range.
Each vehicle showcased impressive performance with exhilarating acceleration, superb handling and agility, as well as a commendable driving range that came with a single charge. Every participant enjoyed a remarkably smooth and peaceful driving experience to the top of the mountain.
The invitees were also quick to appreciate the innovative ergonomics of the EQ vehicles. Made with high-quality materials, Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicles boast spacious cabins and advanced climate control systems that ensure a comfortable ride for both drivers and passengers.

Networking with Mercedes Benz representatives
Upon arrival at Resorts World Awana Genting, participants had a brief respite from their long drive. This served as an opportunity for relaxation with complimentary refreshments as well as casual networking with fellow Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts.
Key representatives from NZ Wheels and Mercedes-Benz Malaysia who had joined the event provided insights into their respective specialities. During the presentation, NZ Wheels’ representative David Tan reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering customer satisfaction through continually evolving its approach to service.
Other presenters included general manager of Pricing and Product Management Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, Christian Grimberg as well as Mercedes-Benz financial services representative Shah Aiman, who elaborated on the extensive features of Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicles and the availability of EQ financing options, respectively.
After the presentations, it was time to head back to KL with a pit stop at Bamboo Hills for an EV charging demonstration where participants could attain hands-on experience.
Bringing a new era of electric-powered driving
After a fun-filled day of smooth driving, NZ Wheels’ EQ Connection Drive event came to a close. However, there was more good news in store for the participants.
They were allowed to take home the EQ vehicle they drove for up to five days following the event, giving them ample opportunity to experience everyday life with an electric vehicle, and further strengthen their decision to go green and embrace Mercedes-Benz’s signature quality and performance.
