For the first time, and exclusively, YouTube will stream shows live from the festival’s six stages.

The Coachella festival will be held during the two weekends of April 14-16 and April 21-23. On these dates, live shows from the event will start at 4pm (Pacific Time) and will be accessible via the dedicated Coachella YouTube page. There, internet users can already set up a reminder so as not to miss out on the action.

For anyone who can’t catch the shows live, festival sets will be made available on repeat after the night’s final performance until the live show starts up again the following day.

Viewers will be able to choose which stage to watch thanks to separate live streams for each of the six stages: Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theater, Sahara, Mojave and Gobi.

YouTube is also planning to take viewers behind the scenes thanks to Shorts content. Plus, the platform will boost its online shopping tool with the launch of new products.

YouTube Premium subscribers will have the advantage of discovering the pre-show rituals of their favourite artists, how they choose their set lists and what goes on backstage before the show.

While YouTube is keen to stress the exclusive nature of this livestream broadcast from all the festival’s stages, the platform has been showing some artists’ performances via its channel since 2019.
