From romance and comedy to post-apocalyptic tales of survival, here's what's coming up on the streamer this year to satisfy your desire for K-content.

The global fandom for K-content is continuing to grow, with over 60% of all Netflix members having watched Korean titles in 2022. And this year, the streaming giant is not resting on its laurels, with 21 new series ranging from post-apocalyptic survival stories to comedy and romance, as well as six movies.

  • ‘Love to Hate You’

A rookie lawyer at an entertainment law firm who detests losing to men goes up against an A-list actor who deeply mistrusts women. Following their first hostile encounter, this unlikely pairing starts to get to know each other and – spoiler alert – perhaps even fall in love!

  • ‘The Glory Part 2’

A woman broken by school violence dedicates her life to a meticulous web of vengeance. Part 1, which is streaming now, ranked first in the global top 10 (non-English) TV charts in the first week of January.

In a distant future where people depend on respirator masks to breathe due to extreme air pollution, the legendary deliveryman “5-8” encounters refugee Sa-wol, who dreams of following in his footsteps. Based on the webtoon of the same name.

  • ‘A Time Called You’

Missing her boyfriend who died a year ago, Jun-hee goes back in time to 1998 to meet his spitting image, Si-heon. But who is Si-heon, exactly…?

  • ‘Song of the Bandits’

In this action-adventure set in the tumultuous period of Japanese colonial rule over Korea, a ragtag group ends up in the lawless land of Gando and unites to protect Joseon for the Korean people.

An ordinary office worker by day and mask-wearing live-streamer by night inadvertently gets embroiled in danger in this dark comedy thriller.

  • ‘Gyeongseong Creature’

A creature thriller set in the spring of 1945, one of the darkest times in Korean history, this series tells of two young people struggling to survive as they face a monster born out of human greed.

  • ‘Sweet Home’, season 2

As humans turn into savage monsters, one troubled teenager and his neighbours fight to survive and to hold onto their humanity. The residents of Green Home return in the new season of his popular series based on the webtoon.

  • ‘Doona!’

Romance blossoms between Won-joon, an ordinary college goer, and Doona, a former K-pop idol, as they cross paths in the shared house for students.

  • ‘Daily Dose of Sunshine’

Follow Da-eun, a new nurse in the mental health department of a hospital, as she explores its world and the stories of those in it.
