PARIS:
After two years of sneakers, combat boots, and other flat styles, the fashion industry has gone all out to welcome the fall season in style.

Fans of boots should be happy since this footwear style is making a major return and they come in many different forms.

The good news is that there will be something for everyone.

However, some models that were very trendy last year will have to stay in the closet, such as ankle boots whose demand has dropped by 34% on the global fashion search engine Stylight.

Slouchy, vinyl or furry?

Three types of boots are clearly in the lead up to September: slouchy, vinyl or shiny boots, and furry (fake, of course), which have all recorded an increase in demand of more than 1,000% on the fashion-focused platform.

A real tidal wave that we owe to the last Fashion Week, which was dedicated to the fall-winter 2022-2023 season and where brands showed numerous types of models, in knee-high or thigh-high variations.

Slouchy boots – with a relaxed fit – are undoubtedly the easiest to wear, offering a combination of comfort and style.

These shoes, true icons of the 1990s, are characterised by a crumpled effect, and will be available this season in a wide range of colours.

Cowboy boots – a safe bet

Cowboy boots will also be in the mix this fall. Stylight reports a 250% increase in clicks in 2022 for these timeless boots that bring character to any outfit.

Next are skin-tight boots (+197%), high rain boots (+141%), and thigh-high boots (+45%) which, to a lesser extent, should also be a sensation in the fall.
