When it comes to Samsung’s smartphone models, many consumers are eager to get their hands on these devices, due to their impressive specifications and affordable prices.

In fact, Samsung was the first brand to release the world’s first foldable smartphone back in 2019. Known as the Galaxy Fold, this smartphone allowed consumers to use it like a ‘book’.

This year, Samsung has released the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, complete with a new set of sophisticated features.

These premium foldable smartphones are built with the design and innovation that are sure to impress while promising an even more optimal experience.

Equipped with S Pen support

Along with its folding capability, both the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G come in a convenient compact size with a sleek iconic design.

This means if you have a preference for stylish devices with various functions, you can expect a new and unique experience with these two Samsung foldable smartphones.

For instance, both devices are equipped with the Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen panel, the most advanced display technology. It has a high-resolution screen, fast refresh rate, sharpness and true colour accuracy.

Thanks to this feature, you will enjoy a seamless experience with no interruptions while carrying out tasks or playing games with its 7.6-inch Infinity Flex Display.

Another exciting addition is the S Pen, as these foldable devices are the first of its kind to be equipped with a stylus.

You will also enjoy a cover screen that is four times larger than before, making it much easier to view incoming notifications and messages without needing to fully open the device.

Additionally, you can use a shortcut to reopen apps, thanks to App Pair improvements.

To make payments easier, Samsung Pay is now available on the cover screen for the Galaxy Z devices.

Water resistant and durable

You won’t have to worry if you get caught in the rain, as the new generation of Galaxy Z devices are IPX8 water resistant, the first among foldable smartphones.

Plus, both the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G are built with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and Armor Aluminium, the strongest aluminium ever used on a Galaxy smartphone. These enhancements are meant to protect the devices from accidental scratches and falls.

If that isn’t enough, these two devices also include a new protective film made of stretchable PET, and an optimised display panel coating, making them 80% more durable than previous versions.

For the first Galaxy Z Flip, the Hideaway Hinge was introduced to allow the device to remain in position no matter the angle, which provided an innovative user experience with Flex mode.

Now, with improved Sweeper technology, the shorter bristles on the Hinge help repel dust and other small particles to maintain the device’s durability, for a much smoother user experience.

To test their folding capabilities, both the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G underwent heavy-duty fold testing to withstand 200,000 folds, and were certified by Bureau Veritas.

Both devices are equipped with 5nm AP and 5G band compatibility, providing the best experience.

If you’re into taking selfies, you’ll love the Flex mode feature, and you can even record videos from the devices’ cover screen without opening the phone. All you have to do is press the main button twice, which activates the Quick Shot function.

Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic

In addition to the launch of Samsung’s premium foldable phones at Samsung Unpacked, Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic.

These smartwatches are the first to feature Wear OS technology (powered by Samsung in collaboration with Google) and are equipped with One UI Watch, Samsung’s most intuitive user interface.

While the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic no longer use Tizen as their operating system, their collaboration with Google has enabled them to use WearOS with the OneUI interface.

The improvements to the Galaxy Watch4 series include the first 5nm processor, a 20% faster CPU, 50% more RAM and a GPU 10 times faster than their predecessors.

This means you can carry out activities on the Galaxy Watch4 series smoothly and easily, while enjoying its high resolution with a sharper display of up to 450 x 450 pixels.

You’ll have plenty of storage to download and store your favourite apps, music and photos, as the devices have 16GB of memory.

When it comes to security, all your user data will be stored safely through Samsung Knox’s security platform.

The smartwatches are redesigned with the best tools to manage your health. There are features like exercise guide, calorie count, heart rate, sleep pattern monitoring and many more.

These devices are also capable of detecting your sleep patterns. For example, along with a compatible smartphone, they can detect the sound of your snores. Besides that, the smartwatches also measure your blood oxygen levels while you sleep.

With these real-time health monitoring functions, you’ll understand your sleeping behaviour better with the advanced Sleep Scores.

These smartwatches have a long lasting battery life of up to 40 hours. Even when it does run out of battery eventually, it only takes 30 minutes of charging to keep going for up to 10 hours.

Galaxy Buds2

Another device that was announced alongside the Galaxy Watch4 series is the Galaxy Buds2, designed to provide a super comfortable fit for everyday wear.

Enjoy premium sound quality and listen to your favourite songs whenever and wherever you are.

These earbuds come equipped with dynamic two-way speakers, along with Active Noise Cancelling to block out unwanted noise.

Its iconic curved shape coupled with its small and light build, provides comfort to users.

To ensure you get the best fit from the Galaxy Buds2, you can try out the ‘Earbud fit test’, in the Galaxy Wearable app.
