Instahome helps thousands rent a home during FMCO

Tenants view and book their dream homes online using virtual tours on Instahome.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Physical viewings have traditionally been a must for tenants wishing to rent a home.

However, this practice has been disallowed under the full movement control order (FMCO) due to the rising Covid-19 cases in the country.

This has left many potential tenants struggling to find a home due to fake, inaccurate and poor-quality listings online.

Others meanwhile have had to rely on “virtual viewings” offered by rental platforms, which are often unverified and unreliable handphone videos.

The good news is that there is now a fully digital home rental platform called Instahome that has helped thousands in the Klang Valley rent a home using virtual tours.

Every home on Instahome’s platform is checked personally and comes with professionally shot virtual tours, video tours and photos to ensure full transparency to the tenant.

Tenants are also able to schedule virtual tour sessions with Instahome’s dedicated customer service staff when they have any questions on the house, apartment, condominium and even the surrounding neighbourhood.

Once satisfied, tenants are able to book the home online with a digital tenancy agreement.

For the final part of the journey, the Instahome team will conduct a move-in inspection with the tenant.

If what the tenant sees on the websites is not what they get, they are protected by the Instahome Refund Guarantee or Rehome option where a new home will be found.

Jeffrey Jaya Raj, an Instahome tenant who booked a home within 24 hours, remarked: “Very pleasant experience having a full 3D virtual tour professionally explained by Instahome. It was literally like walking into the unit myself.

“Instahome was informative and honest about all the information about the rental. It’s a great platform and very user friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to rent!”

CEO & Co-Founder of Instahome, Eric Tan said, “We are very glad to have helped thousands of tenants find their home during the lockdown.

“This really validates our mission of creating a trustworthy and transparent home rental platform so that tenants, agents and owners can have a convenient and safe home rental experience.”

With over 6,000 homes in Klang Valley to choose from, Instahome partners with more than 450 property agents to bring the best selection of homes to tenants.

Connect with Instahome via their website or check them out on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn.
