Andrew Pavlov is an IT specialist from Kiev, Ukraine.

In March, he founded an online platform to connect medical workers with volunteer drivers to help them commute between home and work when public transport was restricted.

The inspiration behind it was personal – Andrew drove his mother-in-law, who is a doctor, and other medics to the hospital when they could not get to work. This inspired him to engage other drivers.

Currently, 100 drivers are registered on the platform.

Andrew’s initiative filled a real need for hundreds of medical workers in Kiev and its suburbs. Platforms like his have helped reduce problems associated with medical transportation during the strict Ukrainian lockdown and quarantine.
