FMT in partnership with The Global Institute For Tomorrow (GIFT) brings you two Covid-19 “healers” from Kuwait.

At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, two engineers, Hussain and Abdulhadi, are working tirelessly, as they have done every day around-the-clock in four different locations.

These two engineers are part of a group of volunteers with engineering and design backgrounds, who’ve come together to provide support to Kuwait’s medical community.

They worked to design sanitisation tunnels, solutions to shortages of personal protection equipment, and ways to 3D-print face shields.

Hussain and Abdulhadi are so committed to their work, they don’t even go home to rest; they sleep in the labs, where they can monitor the 3D printers and troubleshoot problems when they occur.

The duo even slept at the laboratory so they could monitor the 3D printers there and troubleshoot problems as and when they occurred. (Dalal Aljeri pic)
