FMT in partnership with The Global Institute For Tomorrow (GIFT) brings you a Covid-19 “healer” from Japan.

Nobuyuki Takeuchi works on a patient in his acupuncture clinic in downtown Tokyo, Japan.

As the coronavirus spreads in Tokyo, he is keeping his clinic open to provide medical and health advice to the public.

He provides phone counselling and remote therapy using Chi Gong to those patients unable to visit his clinic.

Chi Gong (sometimes better known as qigong) is a combination of body movements, posture, breathing and meditation, based on the concept of qi (or “life energy”), with the goal of providing a balance throughout the body.

Many around Asia and beyond use it to exercise, relax, and conduct self-care.

Even as the number of patients he receives rapidly decreases, Nobuyuki Takeuchi works hard to keep his staff’s spirits high.
