Eugene Kng Chin Wei was first drawn to Limkokwing University of Creative Technology by the impressive and exceptional design of its booth at an education fair.
The creative booth was the precursor to a colourful career that Kng created for himself upon graduation, as founder and director of KNG Design Concept, a Puchong-based interior design boutique.
“I studied the Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture there and one of the things that attracted me was the diverse student mix and the unique environment of the campus,” he shares.
Limkokwing University is renowned for its pioneering leadership in creative education across Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Its 12 campuses run an extensive range of cutting-edge programmes that equip students with 21st century skills enabling a smooth transition into exciting careers upon graduation.
Recalling his experience, Kng noted that the University played an exceptional role in shaping who he is today. “I used to be camera-shy, but with the exposure and nurturing of the people at the University, I learned how to be more outspoken and am able to handle interviews calmly.”

Similarly, fellow alumni Zulfahmi Zahir, managing editor of Centre for Content Creation, found his experience at Limkokwing to be one that allowed him to grow not only as an individual but also in his field.
“I chose to study at Limkokwing because it was and still is the leading University in creative fields. When I studied there, I had the opportunity to gain first-hand experience working within the industry with one of the best advertising firms in Malaysia.”

With the aim of providing global exposure that enables youths to gain a wider knowledge of the real world, Limkokwing takes pride in its diverse student body.

“One of the most meaningful parts of studying at Limkokwing is the awesome friendships formed with my batchmates.
“I miss the days where we stayed up late burning the midnight oil to complete an assignment or presentation together,” says Kng, who shares that he even attended his Indonesian friend’s wedding reception in Jakarta.
Zulfahmi says the friends he made at Limkokwing are like family to him and hail from far off as Botswana, Lesotho, Egypt, Iran, Palestine, The Netherlands and Russia.
“I learnt about their culture and their languages. Even though we are far apart now, we still talk to each other and keep in touch,” he says.
