PETALING JAYA:
Brickfields Asia College (BAC) Education Group has shared its plans to raise money through its fundraising platform, Giveback.my, to aid thousands of victims at various flood-hit areas like Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan and Johor.

When news of families whose homes and possessions were destroyed during the floods began circulating, Giveback.my started campaigns for flood victims in Raub, Maran as well as Temerloh.

Within 24 hours, a total of RM30,000 was successfully raised by Malaysians who rallied to provide essential hygiene kits for women, diapers, baby formula, mineral water and non-perishable food items.

BAC managing director Raja Singham, who personally witnessed the destruction caused by the flood in Pahang, handed over the items to displaced families on Jan 6 and assured them that more help is on the way.

“It was hard to see those who just had their homes destroyed by the floods. It reminds us of what we sometimes take for granted,” said Raja, who is optimistic that more generous Malaysians will come together to help those in need, especially during these unprecedented times.

“No one should be left behind. It’s time to give back.”

Apart from thanking Malaysians who donated to the cause, Raja also extended his appreciation to the Raub MP’s office and the Raub district office, for helping identify families in dire need of assistance.
