They said the man flashed his buttocks at them after allegedly threatening to run them over.
One of the women, Sharina Ali, 46, has posted on Facebook details of the confrontation with the dog owner after they had sought to bring relief to a Siberian Husky and two Golden Retriever pups kept in the man’s house in their neighbourhood.
“It’s so heartbreaking, the cages are so small that the two Golden Retrievers can’t even lie down together to sleep,” she told FMT.
She said she suspected that all three pups were dehydrated, and alleged that the dogs had no access to food or water “for hours on end”.
Sharina said she and the three other women had tried to see the owner of the dogs, and had waited until 10.30pm on Friday to no avail. “Meanwhile, the dogs looked agitated because they did not have anything to eat from morning,” she said.
Sharina said the neighbourhood management advised her and the other neighbours to resolve the issue through legal means.
She went to the police station the next day and requested that an officer accompany her and her neighbours to the house again.

Sharina said a man who eventually answered the doorbell said the dogs belonged to his brother. “We waited for another 10 minutes and rang the doorbell again and this time, three guys came out,” she said.
Shortly afterwards, another man came out. “He was in his late 20s to early 30s and he went ballistic,” Sharina said. He was abusive, tried to make physical contact with two of them, and nearly drove into another.
Sharina said the man boasted of his connections to a “Datuk” and then phoned the “Datuk” to complain about the women.
“To make things worse, he pulled down his pants and showed us his behind,” Sharina said. “With that, we left the house to lodge a second police report on criminal intimidation.”
She said that the next morning, a veterinarian came to inspect the dogs but both cages were missing and no one was at home.
“We have told the police that we will be pressing charges and intend to have the dogs removed from under the men’s care,” she said.
Police have confirmed receiving the reports.
