Once bustling cities have now fallen silent as people stay home and booming economies are now struggling to stay afloat amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is a difficult time for every member of society, young and old alike, as everyone tries to cope with the changes in their everyday lives.
It is tempting to give in to your fears and to lose hope in the face of such great challenges and so much uncertainty.
However, the best thing that you can and should do is to keep your head up and hope for better days that will inevitably come.
This is the message that Portuguese folk group Cristóvam hope to spread through their recently released song, “Andrà Tutto Bene (Everything Will Be Alright)”.
It is a beautiful song about the fear that has gripped everyone and the troubles that lay ahead for humanity.
Appropriately, the music video displays deserted cities, lines of shoppers flocking to grocery stores and medical personnel rushing to save lives.

But not all is lost, croons singer and song writer Flávio Cristóvam as he breaks into a chorus of how “Everything will be alright”, a reassuring lyric reminding listeners that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
The imagery of people adapting to a new way of life with smiles on their faces and healthcare workers being applauded for their heroism will bring tears to your eyes.
The music video, filmed in black and white, turns colourful in its final moments as a reminder that a return to normality will eventually come.
Cristóvam posted the song on his social media pages with the following message:
“These are strange times and like many of you, I too have been dealing with my own anxieties.
“I wrote and recorded this song as my own way of dealing with them and it is not meant to be more than my little attempt to send out a bit of hope to all those who need it right now.”
His message ends with, “Stay safe. Divided we fight but united we stand. Love to all.”
