HOLLYWOOD:
Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal is getting into the timekeeping game.

The retired 15-time NBA All-Star player – globally known as “Shaq” – has teamed up with the Swiss watchmaker Invicta (via Authentic Brands Group) to design a limited-edition series of watches set to launch this spring.

The collection – the first in a multi-year partnership – will go on sale via the shopping channel ShopHQ, as well as in Invicta Stores worldwide.

“Shaq has a broad reach to all of our customers as he brings his positive approach to life and a sense of style,” said Eyal Lalo, CEO of Invicta Watch Group, in a statement.

Shaq is no stranger to fashion and accessory design. The athlete-turned-business-mogul has collaborated on multiple creative projects over the years, working with brands such as Reebok and Skechers on capsule collections.

In 2018, he partnered with Victoria Beckham on pieces for her ‘Reebok X Victoria Beckham’ collection.

The star has also seen off-court success as a sports analyst, a DJ, a restaurateur and a brand ambassador, and is known for his philanthropic work.

He is also set to give fans an insight into his life and career this year, with an upcoming reality TV series dubbed “Shaq Life.”
