Haru, the calico kitten was saved from the jaws of a huge and ferocious-looking monitor lizard seconds before she and her siblings would likely have been devoured by him.
It was Sofea Abd Manan, her new “mother”, who distracted the monitor lizard and saved the three kittens’ lives.
However, weak from hunger after being separated from their mother, only one kitten survived despite all the care and love Sofea showered on them.
The sole survivor was named Haru because she has made Sofea’s life “haru-biru” meaning “total chaos” but in a good way.

Haru is a live-wire, who can’t sit still for a second. Besides finding a way into Sofea’s heart, Haru has won over Tinkerbell as well, her big furry sister, who she loves to heaven and back.
Although a tiny fluff ball next to Tinkerbell, Haru is big on personality, cheekily finding ways to bully her gentle but bigger sister. The two are inseparable.
After seven years of being the sole princess in the house, the energetic, playful Haru is giving Tinkerbell some friendly competition.
Guess it will be more “haru-biru” in Sofea’s household with Haru a permanent resident now.
