Liono: The bunny so lazy he eats and drinks lying down

Looking like a lion, eight-month-old Liono is lazy but adorable.

Liono the Lionhead-mix rabbit is only eight months old and full of character.

Vivien Lim refers to Liono as her youngest “son”. Clearly, this eight-month-old Lionhead-mix rabbit is dearly loved.

Describing Liono to FMT Lifestyle, Vivien says, “His face looks like a lion’s, his body looks like a tiger’s, but his character is like a donkey’s. He eats and drinks lying down like Cleopatra. He’s very lazy.”

Well, that observation is rather subjective.

Liono insists he isn’t lazy in the least but particular about “conserving energy” so he can carry out other, more important activities with greater zest.

These include hopping around the house, jumping when it takes his fancy and standing on his hind legs when in his cage.

(Left): Liono chomping on his favourite meal. (Right): Liono seems to be gesturing, “Get me outta here, now!”

So for now, he will continue lying down at mealtimes (thank you very much) as opposed to hunched over his bowl as this position also promotes better digestion – at least that’s according to him.

All this conservation of energy has rounded out Liono’s body proportions, making him a “very fat bunny” according to Vivien, who describes him as “very round like a loaf of marble cake”.

To his ‘mother’ Liono is fat, ‘like a loaf of marble cake’.
