Succulent and savoury satay Sri Melaka

Satay Sri Melaka’s varieties of barbecued meat offerings are sure to satisfy you.

Plenty of peanut sauce with sambal to go with your satay.

When it comes to food that represents Malaysia all over the world, satay is probably right at the top of the list. Not only is it delicious, the barbecued meat on a stick is portable, easy to store, simple to cook, and super convenient to eat.

Satay usually means chunks of chicken or beef on a skewer not unlike Japanese yakitori. But if you spend some time looking around, there are many other varieties available that may surprise you. If you like variety, do visit Satay Sri Melaka.

Satay Sri Melaka is located at Lembah Keramat, about 20 minutes from KLCC. It’s close enough to Zoo Negara to make for a great post-zoo visit dinner spot.

As this is a lesser developed area of Kuala Lumpur, parking is a breeze and prices are wallet-friendly.

The selection of satay available here should satisfy even the most picky of eaters. There’s beef, chicken, mutton as well as offal – chicken heart, liver, gizzard, and beef tripe.

Meat, chicken, liver, stomach, they have it all.

If you have adventurous taste buds you will find the innards really deliciously done, with beef tripe being the star attraction. For the chicken satay varieties, Satay Ampang is outstanding.

The peanut sauce with sambal is top notch and adds to the overall flavour in ways that every satay vendor should aspire to achieve. It is spicy, flavourful, and has just enough “kick” to keep you wanting more.

If satay is what you are longing for, this is a worthy place to check out.
